TURNYRO DALYVIAI
Summer Cup 2010 dalyvavo 17 Akademikų: Tadidas (2), TMiracle (8-5), Shans (8-5), djrobka (8-5), Ssrokass (9), IgniuX@Z (12), Sunako (15), Setas (19), MundisV (26), Chelsea (29), J_BYYX (41), Deepas (43), Dexteris (47), Aivdov (52), M-zidinys (53), eima1000 (54) ir Straikas (56).

AKADEMIJOS KOMANDA IR AKADEMIKŲ MEET'AS
Aptariam savo Epic Secret Tech‘us ir staiga nuskambėjus turnyro pradžiai, einam žaisti. O_O
Anyway, pasiekiau Top 8, kas buvo a lot higher than I expected. XD
Turnyre dalyvavo ir All for One komanda, kuriai priklauso Akademikai Setas, Chelsea ir Ninija.
1 KOVA
Feature match pits a Lithuanian against a Latvian! Audris Šveics from Latvia today is playing Infernities while Raimundas Vitkauskas is piloting his Spaceship deck! If Raimundas plays well, this match could go in any direction!
When Andris found out what Raimundas is running, he gasped, because it is rare to see Spaceships, which can win pretty fast. Andris won the dice roll and wished to begin. He set a monster and three cards to his backrow.
Andris summoned Dark Grepher, dropped Infernity Beetle to send Infernity Archfiend to the graveyard and activated Infernity Launcher! He revived Archfiend and Beetle, searching for a second Launcher. Beetle tributed itself for two more and Raimundas already lost hope of winning! Andris synchro summoned Iron Chain Dragon with Dark Grepher and Beetle, then flipped Infernity Necromancer, which revived Infernity Beetle to turn Iron Chain and Beetle to Stardust Dragon! Then he summoned Mist Wurm and Raimundas immediately conceded!
2 KOVA
Both players jumped to their side-decks - Raimundas had Consecrated Light and Banisher of the Radiance to counter Infernities. Raimundas begun the second duel and, after a quick pile shuffle, he drew Crevice into the Different Dimension, Lord British Space Fighter, Honest, Enemy Controller, Banisher of the Radiance and Morphing Jar. He summoned Banisher, set two backfields and passed. Andris was in a bad position - he set a monster and two backrows as well.
Raimundas drew Blue Thunder T-45 and summoned it, but Banisher ran into Infernity Necromancer! Then Blue Thunder attacked and Raimundas activated Enemy Controller! Andris chained Mirror Force though, destroying both of his opponent’s monsters, and Raimundas passed. Andris drew and couldn’t believe what his hand was. He activated Foolish Burial to send Infernity Archfiend to the graveyard, leaving three cards in hand. Next he chose to be aggresive and summoned Infernity Beetle, which attacked directly!
He passed to Raimundas, who drew another Blue Thunder! He summoned Lord British Space Fighter and Andris took it for a second to read what it can do. Lord British attacked Beetle, Raimundas then dropped Honest and activated British’s effect to swing over Necromancer. Then he activated Lord British’s other effect to destroy Andris’ set Imperial Iron Wall.
Andris drew and activated Mystical Space Typhoon, but Raimundas chained Crevice to remove Archfiend and Beetle. He set a monster and one s/t before passing to Raimundas, who drew D.D. Crow and was ready to defeat Andris, but his freshly summoned Blue Thunder T-45 ran into another Infernity Necromancer! Raimundas passed, Andris set a backfield and passed back.
Raimundas set a backrow and a monster, then turned British to defense before passing. Andris drew Fissure to destroy Lord British.
Raimundas drew Book of Moon, still unable to run over Infernity Necromancer. He activated D.D. Crow’s effect to remove the first Necromancer, but Andris chained Infernity Break, removing the selected Necromancer, to destroy Raimundas’ Morphing Jar. Raimundas wasn’t happy about it and passed with a backfield. Andris answered with a set backrow.
Raimundas set Sangan and passed. Andris set a backrow. Raimundas set another monster. Both players were running on top deck cards – neither drew an out to the situation. Raimundas drew Bottomless Trap Hole and passed – Andris meanwhile had one card in hand.
Andris drew and grinned, holding two cards in hand. He set a backrow and passed.
Raimundas drew Thunder King Rai-Oh, holding two cards in hand as well. He passed to Andris who passed back.
Raimundas drew Dust Tornado – still nothing that would break the stagnation. He set Dust Tornado and passed. During the end phase Andris activated Imperial Iron Wall, but Raimundas activated Mystical Space Typhoon, but Solemn Judgment negated it! Andris drew to three and activated Infernity Inferno! He sent Archfiend and Beetle, holding one card in hand. Finally, he summoned Infernity Mirage, claiming priority! Raimundas activated Royal Oppression, negating it! But Andris wasn’t done - he flipped Giant Trunade! He set his Imperial Wall back and revived Infernity Archfiend with Necromancer, searching out Infernity Launcher! Launcher revived Infernity Avenger and Infernity Beetle, which he tributed for another one with the third Beetle removed.
Andris finally got an idea and summoned Hundred-Eyes Dragon! He removed Necromancer and revived Archfiend to search for Infernity Break. Finally, he tuned Beetle and Archfiend together to summon Goyo Guardian. Raimundas was facing Goyo Guardian, Hundred-Eyes Dragon and two backrows. Goyo destroyed Blue Thunder and Hundred-Eyes swung over Raimundas’ set Sangan. Sangan got him Honest. Andris passed to Raimundas
Raimundas drew Consecrated Light! He was holding Dust Tornado, Book of Moon, Royal Oppression, Bottomless Trap Hole, Rai-Oh, Honest and Consecrated Light. He summoned Thunder King, tried to attack, but Infernity Break blocked it. Raimundas set four cards to the backrow and passed. The duel stood at 2500 and 3400 with Raimundas in the lead.
Andris turned Hundred-Eyes to defense and Goyo Guardian attacked directly! Book of Moon turned Goyo face-down and Andris passed.
Raimundas drew Book of Moon, summoned Consecrated Light and passed. Andris set a monster and turned Hundred-Eyes Dragon to attack. It copied Infernity Beetle and the flipped Goyo Guardian took Raimundas’ Bottomless Trap Hole, but Andris flipped Imperial Iron Wall! Raimundas chained Dust Tornado, but Andris had Infernity Barrier! Goyo Guardian faced Book of Moon, Blue Thunder destroyed Consecrated Light and Hundred-Eyes Dragon swung for game!

Spoiler'is: Kirils Obuks prieš Aleksandrą Šankiną (Shans)
Spoiler'is: Kazimieras Kanarskas prieš Uvis Liberts
1 KOVA
Today here, at Summer Cup ’10 Lithuania we are featuring a quarterfinal’s match. The first opponent is two times Lithuanian national champion Kazimieras Kanarskas (Gladiator Beast deck) and the second - Latvian nacional champion Uvis Liberts, piloting his Quickdraw Plants.
Kazimiera’s opening hand, contained Gladiator Beast Samnite, Torrential Tribute, Book of Moon, Solemn Judgment and 2 copies of Gladiator Beast's Respite offering him to activate one of his Respites, shuffling Gladiator Beast Samnite and another copy of Respite to his deck, to draw 3 new options. Afterwards, Kazimieras summoned his freshly drawn Gladiator Beast Hoplomus and sent him to attack Uvis set Card Trooper. After the successful attack the Gladiator Beast Equeste popped out from the deck to get Kazimiera’s his Gladiator Beast's Respite back. After setting 4 cards in his back row Karimieras ended his turn.
It seemed like Uvis decission to leave himself vulnerable for the big plays, which could have been offered by his opponent, is going to pay off. He immediately activated his Heavy Storm forcing Kazimieras to activate his Solemn Judgment, leaving him with half of his life points. However, Uvis was still into paralysing Kazimieras field using his Black Rose Dragon, so he chose to summon Debris Dragon targetting Card Trooper with his Debri‘s effect. Unfortunately Kazimieras had a response for this situation– his D.D. Crow was dumped to the Graveyard to remove Card Trooper from play, which left Uvis no choise but to set 2 cards in his back row and pass the play back to his opponent...
Kazimieras determined to keep pressing with Equeste instead of over extending and declared the attack with his only monster - Gladiator Beast Equeste, which was stopped by Uvis’ Enemy Controller. On his turn Uvis summoned Caius the Shadow Monarch trying to get back into the game for the third time. However Kazimieras offered Caius a Gladiator Beast War Chariot. Uvis set 1 backfield and passed.
Kazimieras kept pressing with Equeste and set 1 backfield after dealing 1600 damage to his opponent. Uvis passed right after setting one more card to his back row and Kazimieras still kept pressing, leaving his opponent with 4800. Uvis passed after drawing a card and his opponent successfully attacked for another 1600 points of damage. Kazimieras set a Dust Tornado to his back row which was lost because of Uvis’s Mystical Space Typhoon during the End Phase.
This time Uvis succeeded in getting back into the game by using Brain Control on his opponent’s Gladiator Beast Equeste and swinging for 1600, which left both players with 2400. During the second main phase he tribute Equeste for Caius targeting Kazimieras’ spell or trap card, which appeared to be a Book of Moon, this card flipped Caius to face down defence position. On his turn Kazimieras summoned another Gladiator Beast Equeste forcing Uvis to activate his Torrential Tribute! It looked like Kazimieras calculations were correct! He kept pressing with only one monster concluded in the waste of opponent's power card!
Trying to stabilise Uvis set a monster and one backfield and passed. Lithuanian player started by activating Gladiator Beast's Respite, shuffling Gladiator Beast Bestiari and another copy of Respite back to his deck. After drawing 3 fresh cards he summoned Gladiator Beast Samnite and sent it to attack Uvis’ set monster which appeared to be a Legendary Jujitsu Master! Once again Kazimieras has proven to have an answer to his opponent’s attempt - Gladiator Beast War Chariot negated Jujitsu’s effect and destroyed it. Samnite jumped back to the deck to bring out a Gladiator Beast Bestiari. A Book of Moon was activated by Uvis to flip it face down.
Once again Uvis set one backfield and passed, letting Kazimieras to activate Cold Wave, normal summon a Gladiator Beast Hoplomus, fusion summon a Gladiator Beast Gyzarus and swing for the game! It’s 1 – 0 with Kazimieras in the lead.
2 KOVA
Both player accessed their sideboards and after a quick side decking and shuffling presented their decks to each other. Kazimieras took his chance to pile shuffle both his and opponent’s decks, implying he knows, exactly how important this match is.
Uvis chose to go first again and opened with Torrential Tribute, Dust Tornado, Quickdraw Synchron, Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter, Lonefire Blossom and Legendary Jujitsu Master. He set a monster, set a card to his back row and passed.
Kazimieras opening hand was Gladiator Beast Respite, Dimensional Fissure, Compulsory Evacuation Device, Torrential Tribute and two copies of Test Tiger, which left him no options but to set 2 backfields and pass, losing his Torrential Tribute to his opponent’s Dust Tornado during the End Phase. Uvis drew, set a card to each zone and ended. Kazimieras responded with setting one backfield and passing. Both duellists were playing defensively. However, Uvis’ slight field advantage with his opponent’s Torrential Tribute in the graveyard let him to start pushing. He flipped his set monster – Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter and destroyed Kazimieras’ set Dimensional Fissure and sent Brain Control, Torrential Tribute and Night Assailant to the graveyard. Afterwards, he summoned Lonefire Blossom, tiributed itself to get another one from the deck, which was tribute as well to bring out the big gun – Tytannial, Princess of Camellias! Ryko attacked Kazimieras leaving him with 7800 while Tytannial was bounced back to owners handthanks to the effect of Kazimieras’ Compulsory Evacuation Device.
It was Kazimieras turn when he activated Gladiator Beast's Respite, shuffling Gladiator Beast Murmillo and Gladiator Beast's Respite to his deck. After drawing 3 cards he normal summoned Gladiator Beast Laquari, special summoned Test Tiger, used his effect to bring out Gladiator Beast Secutor from his deck, forcing Uvis to activate Torrential Tribute, destroying Secutor, Ryko and his set monster – Legendary Jujitsu Master. Kazimieras set 2 backfields and passed. Uvis responded with set monster and passed the play back to Kazimieras. He simply passed the play back and Uvis set another monster. Kazimieras flipped his face down Dimensional Fissure, normal summoned Gladiator Beast Equeste and swung over his opponent’s set monster – Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter. It destroyed Equeste and sent Divine Wrath, Lightning Vortex to the graveyard also removing Sangan from play. Kazimieras set a backfield ended and the play was back to Uvis.
He was preparing a big play and started by activating Heavy Storm, which was negated by Starlight Road and Stardust Dragon hit the field under Kazimieras control. Uvis’ tributed his last set monster – Legendary Jujitsu Master to summon a Caius the Shadow Monarch, which was negated by Kazimieras Solemn Jundment. Uvis passed and Kazimieras started pressing with Stardust, leaving his opponent with 5500. Gorz the Emissary of Darkness hit the field under Uvis control bringing him a 2500/2500 token. The play was back to Latvian player who sent his Gorz to run over Stardust and a token to hit the life points. The duel stood at 5500/2200 with Uvis in the lead. Kazimieras drew and set a backfield, however he had no response for the next attack and Uvis won the second game! The score was 1 – 1 leaving the third duel to determine the semi-finalist!
3 KOVA
Both players quickly shuffled their decks, presented them to each other and began the third match. Kazimieras decided to go first and opened with Elemental Hero Prisma, Gladiator Beast's Respite, Solemn Judgment, Gladiator Beast Bestiari and 2 copies of Dust Tornado. He set a monster, 3 cards to his back row and passed.
Uvis opened holding Card Trooper, Dust Tornado, 2 copies of Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter and 2 copies of Quickdraw Synchron in his hand. He set his Dust Tornado and passed loosing it to Kazimieras’ Dust Tornado during the end phase. He drew a card and set a monster, allowing Uvis to mill 3 more cards – Torrential Tribute, Mirror Force and Caius the Shadow Monarch and declare the attack with his Trooper. Trooper ran into a set Gladiator Beast Hoplomus which tagged for Gladiator Beast Samnite at the end of the Batle Phase. Uvis began losing grip and decided not to hesitate and special summon a Quickdraw Synchron from his hand, dumping one copy of Ryko to the graveyard. Afterwards, he synchro summoned Junk Destroyer by tuning his Trooper and Quickdraw Synchron. Destroyer hit the field and destroyed Kazimieras’ Samnite. Finally, Uvis set a monster and passed.
The play was back to Kazimieras who summoned Gladiator Beast Equeste, swung over set monster – Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter which sent Lightning Vortex, Debris Dragon and Dandylion to the graveyard, summoning Uvis 2 fluff tokens. On his turn Uvis tributed one of the tokens for another Quickdraw Synchron and tuned him and the second token to synchro summon Drill Warrior! Spoiler'is: Tadas Juknevičius (Tadidas) prieš Robertą Kliunką (djrobka)
Tačiau tas posakis ‘Nėra padėties be išeitis‘ tikrai nemeluoja. Pačiame kovos įkarštyje paaukojęs Legendary Jujitsu MasterCyber Dragon‘ui, jis susimaišė pamanęs, jog padarė Special Summon ir bandė kviesti Blackwing – Blizzard the Far North, bet galiausiai suprato, kad kažką padarė ne taip ir sekančiu ėjimu pergalė atsidūrė mano rankose.

TOP 8 KOVŲ AKIMIRKOS
TOP 4
FINALAS
1 KOVA
The final match of the day, but the most important one obviously! The final match presents Tadas – a great Lithuanian player - versus Uvis. The former is playing Quickdraw Plants, while Tadas is piloting Machina Gadgets. Both players shuffled their decks and Tadas began the duel!
Uvis set a monster and passed. Tadas drew Jinzo, summoned Red Gadget, searched for Yellow and Red Gadget ran into Dandylion, which spawned two tokens. Green Gadget swung over a Fluff Token and Tadas set Royal Oppression before passing back to Uvis.
Uvis activated Heavy Storm! Royal Oppression and Prison went to the graveyard and Uvis proceeded to summon Blackwing – Gale the Whirlwind. Next, he shrunk Red, activated Brain Control, taking Green Gadget. Finally, Green Gadget and Gale united for Blackwing Armor Master! It ran over Red Gadget, leaving Tadas with 6150 life points. Uvis set a backfield before passing.
Tadas summoned his freshly drawn Machina Gearframe, searching out Machina Fortress. Gearframe ran over a token, Tadas set two backrows, but Mystical Space Typhoon destroyed Royal Oppression during the end phase. Uvis ran over Gearframe with Armor Master and passed.
Tadas drew Jinzo – Returner, holding Yellow Gadget, Cyber Dragon, Jinzo and Machina Fortress. He summoned Yellow Gadget, searched for Green and dropped Jinzo - Returner along with Machina Fortress to special summon it. Machina Fortress destroyed Blackwing Armor Master with it’s effect and Yellow Gadget swung directly.
Uvis drew to four and set a card to each row. The duel stood at 5450 and 6000 with Uvis in the lead.
Tadas drew another Machina Fortress, summoned Green Gadget and searched for Red Gadget. Green ran into Super-Nimble Mega Hamster, which searched for Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter. Yellow Gadget ran over Ryko, which destroyed Limiter Removal. Tadas passed without making further plays.
Uvis activated Pot of Avarice! He summoned Blackwing – Gale the Whirlwind, shrunk Yellow Gadget and tuned Super-Nimble Mega Hamster to Gale to Synchro Summon Blackwing Armor Master again! Yellow was destroyed and Uvis passed to Tadas, which had 3150 life points remaining.
Tadas drew Bottomless Trap Hole. He tributed Green Gadget for Jinzo and summoned Machina Fortress, after discarding Cyber Dragon. Tadas tried to destroy Armor Master by battle with Fortress, targeted Uvis’ backrow, but both players forgot that Armor Master is indestructible by battle, leaving Tadas vulnerable to Uvis’ attacks! Uvis simply placed Armor Master back on the table and Tadas lost his focus and passed without further plays.
Uvis ran over Jinzo and passed with a card to each row, leaving Tadas at 3050.
Tadas drew Magic Drain, summoned Red Gadget and took down Ryko, which destroyed Bottomless. He set Magic Drain, but Dust Tornado destroyed it. Armor Master swung over Red Gadget, Uvis set another monster and s/t and passed.
Tadas summoned Yellow Gadget, destroyed Night Assailant and passed. Next Turn Uvis activated Giant Trunade, forcing Tadas to concede!

Both players opted to side-deck – pretty clear why as they are duelling for the title of Summer Cup Champion! Tadas wished to start the second duel, holding Mirror Force, two Divine Wraths, Machina Gearframe, Mystical Space Typhoon and Trap Dustshoot – a very strong opening if Uvis doesn’t have a lot of backfield hate. Gearframe searched for Fortress, Tadas set two backrows and passed.
Tadas flipped Dustshoot, revealing Caius the Shadow Monarch, Super-Nimble Mega Hamster, Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter, Bottomless Trap Hole, Gorz the Emissary of Darkness and Mystical Space Typhoon. He chose to return Super-Nimble Mega Hamster and Uvis proceeded, setting a monster before passing.
Tadas drew Book of Moon, attacked Ryko, which ate Divine Wrath. Tadas passed after setting Book of Moon.
Uvis destroyed it with Mystical Space Typhoon next turn and summoned Lonefire Blossom, skipping one to the graveyard and searching out Tytannial, Princess of Camellias. He ran over Gearframe and passed.
Tadas drew Cyber Dragon. He set two backrows and passed. Uvis attacked and Tadas activated Mirror Force. Tadas drew another Book of Moon, facing an empty field and four cards in Uvis’ hand. He simply passed.
Uvis set a monster and passed. Tadas drew Dimensional Prison, summoned Cyber Dragon and ran into Super-Nimble Mega Hamster – Uvis searched out Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter so fast that Tadas didn’t activate Divine Wrath. He set Book of Moon before passing.
Uvis flipped Ryko, opted not to destroy the monster, but milled Dandylion! Next, he tributed Ryko for Caius, removing Cyber Dragon and leaving Tadas at 4600 after the attack.
Tadas drew Bottomless Trap Hole; he set it and Dimensional Prison before passing. Uvis attacked with Caius, but Tadas responded with Dimensional Prison. He passed with two backrows.
Tadas drew Royal Oppression, set it, but Dust Tornado destroyed it. Then, he activated his own Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy Uvis’ Bottomless Trap Hole.
Next turn, Uvis tributed his tokens for Gorz the Emissary of Darkness! Tadas responded with Bottomless Trap Hole though and play was back to him.
Tadas drew Banisher of the Radiance! He swung for 1600 and passed. Uvis simply set a backrow and passed. Banisher swung again and Tadas passed. The duel stood at 4800 and 4600 with Uvis in the lead.
Uvis activated Pot of Avarice, drawing two cards. Next he set a backrow and passed. Banisher swung again, but Mirror Force finally destroyed it. He set a backrow before passing. Uvis simply passed back.
Tadas discarded a pair of Machina Fortresses to special summon one, which swung for 2500. He set his last card before passing. Uvis special summoned Cyber Dragon! Tadas flipped Solemn Judgment to block out Uvis’ chances of summoning Chimeratech Fortress Dragon, leaving both players at 2300 life points. Next, Uvis activated another Pot of Avarice, drawing to four cards in hand. He was holding two backrows, facing Tadas’ Machina Fortress, a backrow and no cards in hand. Finally, Uvis activated Brain Control, but Tadas turned Machina Fortress face-down with Book of Moon. But that stopped nothing as Uvis summoned Debris Dragon, went for Black Rose Dragon and it’s second effect swung through Machina Fortress, stealing the win from Tadas!
Spoiler'is: Finalinės kovos eigą stebėjo ir aprašė Snikatronas.
– Whoops! Armor Master can‘t be destroyed by battle – piktdžiugiškai pasakė latvis ir grąžino jį į field‘ą priešais nieko padaryti negalintį Jinzo.
